Andrew Fraser

Fraser, Andrew

4th Grade Teacher

adfraser@seattleschools.org

I started teaching at Coe in 2013. I have taught grades one through five but enjoy working with fourth graders most of all. In 2002, I moved to Seattle to pursue my teaching career. I grew up in New Hampshire and try to go back every year to visit my family. Presently, I live in Shoreline with my wife Carrie and our pets. We enjoy biking and hiking in the Pacific Northwest and going to Mariners games. I have had the opportunity to teach at many schools and have come to the conclusion that Coe is the best place to teach and learn.

Geiger, Zoe

Physical Therapist

zrgeiger@seattleschools.org

My name is Zoe Geiger and I am a physical therapist (PT) with Seattle Public Schools. As a school-based physical therapist, I work in the special education department across multiple schools, helping students access their school environment and participate in their academic program. I grew up in Seattle and am a proud SPS alum. I received my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Western Washington University in 2015, where I also studied psychology and dance. After a couple years of working, traveling, and volunteering, I moved to Tacoma to continue my formal education and received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Puget Sound. Outside of work, I enjoy dancing, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends.

Godoy, Alexandra

Godoy, Alexandra

1st Grade Teacher

amgodoy@seattleschools.org

Hello! I am Alexandra Godoy, and I am proud to be a part of Coe’s learning community and incredible first-grade team. I love first graders’ sense of humor, curiosity, and inspiring wonder. In first grade, we learn to decode the English language, allowing us to unlock the joy of reading! Books can be passageways to unknown worlds and help us reveal what we know and love. It is an honor to witness their joyful “aha moments” throughout this early journey into literacy.

I was born in El Salvador, grew up in California, and have lived in beautiful Seattle for ten years, teaching for three. Aside from teaching, I enjoy kayaking, picnicking, hiking, and exploring delicious restaurants with my husband. As a Salvadoran, speaking and reading Spanish has helped me stay connected to all that was left behind. Similarly, our collective history, music, and familial stories have kept me anchored throughout my life. My bilingual experience has been a rich resource in my learning. I strive to engage students with their rich resources to help them develop their creative potential as storytellers and innovators in their communities.

I grew up in Spokane and moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. After graduating I did all kinds of interesting jobs including working at a ski resort in Utah and teaching English in Japan. Years later I received my Master in Teaching from Seattle University. My husband and I have lived on Queen Anne for over 25 years. Our own children were fortunate enough to attend Coe Elementary. You may see me gardening, running, at the Market, or in the bookstore travel section.

Angie Hanna

Occupational Therapist

amhanna@seattleschools.org

I am the Occupational Therapist at Coe, Lawton, and Queen Anne Elementary Schools. I am a Seattle native. I grew up in Issaquah and received my undergraduate degree from the University of Washington. I went on to earn my Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Boston University in 2002 and worked at Mercer Island Public Schools before deciding to be a stay-at-home mom for over a decade. I have lived on Queen Anne for 16 years and love this community! I am passionate about providing our students with the tools they need to be successful in the classroom. I enjoy spending time with my son, walking the Crown of Queen Anne, reading, abstract painting, and relaxing with my two cats, Tony and Nessa.

3rd Grade Teacher

kikeaton@seattleschools.org

I'm grateful to be part of our wonderful Coe-mmunity! I grew up in the South Puget Sound and received my BA and MAT from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, where I also played basketball (go Loggers!) I have spent almost two decades teaching students in grades three through five and have been a member of the Coe team since 2018. Helping students to feel valued, love learning, think critically, and develop their passions makes teaching such a joy for me. When I'm not at school, you can find me outside hiking, mountain biking, wing foiling, or reading a good book. I also love cheering on the Seattle Storm and eating ice cream.

I am excited to join Coe Elementary for the '25-'26 school year! I got my Bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology from Lawrence University in Wisconsin, after which I started working in education. I earned a Master's degree in Special Education at University of Illinois - Chicago and taught elementary special education in Chicago, where I am from, for 5 years before making the move to Seattle in 2022. In my spare time, I love hiking and backpacking and just generally being outside, playing soccer, and reading - especially sci-fi and fantasy. I am eager to collaborate and learn from the staff, families, and students of the Coe community.

Sophia Mandell

Mandell, Sophia

2nd Grade Teacher

skmandell@seattleschools.org

I am thrilled to be part of the Coe community! I began teaching in 2021 and have had the opportunity to work at several schools within Seattle Public Schools, most recently at Queen Anne Elementary. Growing up in Seattle and attending SPS from K–12 (Salmon Bay and Nathan Hale), it has always been a dream of mine to return as a teacher.

I earned my BA in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Middle Level Mathematics from Washington State University (double go Cougs!). After completing my student teaching in the unique year of 2020, I went on to earn my M.Ed. in Instructional Design. My passion for teaching is deeply rooted in empowering students to think critically about the world around them.

Outside the classroom, you can usually find me walking my two dogs, playing board games (a little competitively!), reading, camping, golfing with my partner Drew, cheering on Seattle and WSU sports teams, and spending time with family and friends.
