    Safety Patrol

*Safety Patrol will resume per district re-opening plan.

Safety Patrol at Coe Elementary is an opportunity available to fourth and fifth graders who have demonstrated a track record of reliable and responsible behavior and who are able to be early to school and stay late.

Typically, the patrols rotate every 3 weeks.  They are on duty one week and off 2 weeks from September to June.

Students assist in crossing pedestrians at the crosswalks on 7th Avenue West and 6th Avenue West before and after school. They help students cross safely at the designated crosswalks. Students build leadership skills while simultaneously keeping students safe in their route to and from school.

Ms. Goodin and school administrators supervise the safety patrol program, including training of the patrols. Interested students must fill out an application and be selected. Typically, training is  held twice per year in October and April (this may vary).  Applications will be available prior to training and are announced in the Coe weekly bulletin.

Contact Ms. Goodin (kagoodin@seattleschools.org) if you have questions about safety patrol.
