State of Coe Presentation Join Mrs. Turner in the Coe Gym, 7-8:30pm, for up to date information on the "state of Coe" for the 2014-2015 school year.  She will share staffing information as well as speak to the greater issue of Coe's expanding enrollment.

Family Night with the Mariners!
Come join your Coe friends for a fun night at the Mariner's game on May 10th.  Tickets are discounted to $11 (normally $24).  Kids 2 and under are free if sitting on a parent's lap.  Order forms and instructions will be coming home soon.  Forms will also be available in the office. Space is limited.  The deadline to order is April 21. If you are interested, please contact Maureen Elenga: president.coepta@gmail.com

Book Drive As part of our Young Authors celebration at Coe, the PTA and Coe Cares are collecting new & gently used books in the weeks leading up to Young Authors Day.  We are collecting books for all ages and reading levels, but preferably elementary school level books.
Each classroom will have a donation box.

All books will be donated to Seattle Public School's Bailey Gatzert Elementary for distribution prior to spring break.    Thank you for supporting literacy in our community!  Please click here for a list of desirable books.

Young Authors’ Day!  Coe's popular biennial Young Author's Day is coming up on Friday, April 4th. Young Authors’ Day is a celebration of language and the art of writing. In the weeks leading up to this event, Coe students are writing their own stories or essays. Young Authors’ Day is a fun, school-wide event in which students share their work with fellow students in small group reading circles, made up of other students and supervised by adult volunteers.page3image6736
We need many adults to lead our small group circles! To volunteer, please contact Jessica McFarlane at jvmcfarlane@gmail.com . Volunteer check-In time is 10:00 and reading circles are from 10:30 to 11:30.  Note that adults will not be assigned to the same group as their child. A complimentary hospitality room will be provided for our generous volunteers! Thank you for your support!
